Welcome to the webpage set up by supporters of the Fuelstar product. We are a group of people – many of whom have used Fuelstar in many automotive situations and settings since it was first introduced into NZ during the introduction of Unleaded Fuels.

None of us are interested in indulging in abuse or rabid debunking attempts with regard to the critics of Fuelstar in the past and currently. We just think its time for a thumbnail sketch to be drawn that points to Fuelstars success. The growth of the Internet has meant that people have a chance to air their views in a positive and constructive manner. Unfortunately, it also means that there can be an element out in the Web and blogosphere, who can indulge in some pretty negative and unfactual attacks. No one doubts that many of these folk are well-meaning and sincere - but it doesn't mean they are right. Also unfortunately - some of the negativists can end up being regarded as telling the whole truth as they present their attacks in "soundbites" just like the media.

Jaguar XJ6 Fuelstar Installation

Jaguar XJ6 4.2L - 1979 Model

This Jaguar was restored top to bottom by an A Grade Mechanic – it was run for a while (approx 5,000km on rebuilt motor) and then garaged for a number of years while being occasionally taken out to stretch its legs.

The Car hated running on unleaded fuel, regularly fouling plugs and frankly running like a “dog”.  Various additives were tried in the Fuel including Moreys, to compensate – at fairly large and constant expense per fill.  This had mixed results with only partial restoration of smooth running and then reversion back to previous lumpy and rough running.  Despite numerous checks of the state of tune etc, the car continued to misbehave.  Fuel consumption was horrendous – with half a tank disappearing on short runs from East Auckland to the North Shore and back despite gentle use of throttle.  The odour of unburnt gases was terrible whenever the car was idling at lights or at rest. He was recommended to install a Fuelstar to correct the running problems etc... Read Full Story

So, here are some facts...

  • Fuelstar has proved its worth in hundreds of applications, for its ability to reduce fuel consumption, improve engine running and prolong engine life.
  • Fuelstar has never backed away from its responsibilities – and has unfailingly offered and honoured a full moneyback guarantee.
  • Various attempts by parties who have been critics of the product – to formally test Fuelstar – have been either incomplete, or conducted to standards that are inadequate or don’t test Fuelstar in correct installation and usage situations.  Rumour has it that one test was secretly funded by a major Oil Company with a clear agenda to debunk the product no matter what.
  • Claims by critics, supposedly debunking of Fuelstar’s evidence of testing and testimonials – have consisted of emotional and often very angry unsubstantiated accusations.  Free speech is great – but one could possibly get the impression of Fuelstar being treated as “guilty until proved innocent” – which we think doesn’t make for rationality or even perhaps good science to begin with.  Certainly the founder of Fuelstar has had some fairly bad language and unprintable descriptions of himself hurled at him on the net.
  • Con men (and Con Products) - tend to make a quick buck and then slink off with the moolah never to be seen again.  That just isn’t the case with Fuelstar.  The founder has fought for his product against all odds.  We think the public and industry can make up its own mind on that score?
  • Fuelstar has been tested formally for its ability to reduce fuel consumption and improve engine performance and the evidence is in the clear on their website and it has stood the test of time in actual everyday use.  The critics say that everyday use and testimonials are just anecdotal – and almost seem to imply that everyone who has used it and is satisfied, is deluded, foolish, unintelligent and is experiencing a ‘placebo effect’ – We think Fuelstar and other companies would love their advertising and promotion to be that effective!
  • Critics of Fuelstar are entitled to their opinion – we live in a free country with a real “do it yourself” can-do outlook.  We just think that everyone should play fair – and leave out abuse, unfounded accusations and just plain old bad manners.
  • The blogosphere has tended to become a place where a lot of free speech has actually morphed into “hate speech” against whatever offends the writers eye.  We think its time for some fairness in the equation.
